About This Piece
They Part, Godspeed is a piece that speaks to the experience of wishing for peace for yourself as well as the other person at the end of a romantic relationship. It is a combination of two texts by Dorothy Parker, which in combination are a cheeky message to the former love to leave the relationship and let the hurt that has already happened be, and to allow each to move forward without causing more pain.
